The problem

Every prompt with a client's details in it is a disclosure.

Your team already pastes client emails, patient notes and case files into AI to get work done faster. Once it is sent, it sits on someone else's servers. Coverword makes sure the private parts never go.

How it works

Keep working the way you work. Coverword covers the rest.

No new app, no copy-and-paste ritual. Install it once and it runs quietly inside the AI sites you already use.

01

Type or paste as usual

Write your prompt in ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, client details and all.

Patient: Jane Smith, DOB 04/12/1981. Summarize her visit notes for the referral.
02

Coverword hides it before Send

Private details become placeholders the moment you paste or press Send. The same value always gets the same placeholder, so the AI can still follow who is who.

Patient: [NAME_1], DOB [DOB_1]. Summarize her visit notes for the referral.
03

Read and copy the real thing

Hover any placeholder in the answer to see the real value. Copy the answer and the real names come back with it, ready to send.

Referral for [NAME_1], born [DOB_1]…
Copied as: Jane Smith, born 04/12/1981
What it hides

Every name gets a cover.

Twelve kinds of private detail, caught with patterns and checksums that run on your own computer. Card and routing numbers are verified, so order numbers and dates are left alone.

Privacy by design

Nothing leaves your browser.

A privacy tool that uploads your text to check it would defeat the point. Coverword does all of its work on your computer. The only thing it ever asks the internet is whether your subscription is active.

Runs on your computer

Detection is plain code inside the extension. No AI model of ours reads your messages and no server of ours ever receives them.

Forgets when Chrome closes

The list that matches each placeholder to its real value lives in memory only. It is never written to disk and is erased when you quit Chrome.

Sealed from the website

When you hover a placeholder, the real value appears in a sealed box the AI site's own code cannot read. It is shown to you, not to them.

Who it's for

Built for offices that are trusted with other people's details.

Dental and medical offices

Draft recall reminders, referral letters and insurance appeals without pasting patient names or record numbers.

Law firms

Summarize case notes and draft client letters with names, case numbers and contact details covered.

Accountants and bookkeepers

Ask about a return or reconcile a statement without handing over SSNs or account numbers.

Insurance agencies

Work on claims, renewals and policy letters while policy and claim numbers stay private.

Real estate

Write offers, follow-ups and listing emails with buyer and seller contact details hidden.

HR and recruiting

Polish offer letters, reviews and candidate notes without exposing employees' personal data.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Something else on your mind? Email support@coverwordai.com.

Does Coverword see my messages?

No. Everything happens inside your browser. Your text is never sent to us, and the list of real values behind each placeholder is erased when you close Chrome.

Will the AI still give useful answers?

Yes. The AI doesn't need a real phone number to write a good reminder. Placeholders keep the meaning of your message, and the same person always gets the same placeholder, so the AI can still keep track of who is who.

Which browsers and AI sites does it work with?

ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, in Chrome and other Chromium browsers such as Edge, Brave and Arc. More AI sites are on the way.

Is there anything it won't catch?

Names written with no label in front ("write to John about…") aren't detected on their own, so add the names you use often to your private words. Files, images and voice input aren't scanned; Coverword works on the text you type or paste.

Does this make my office HIPAA compliant?

No single tool can do that. Coverword lowers the risk of private details reaching AI services by keeping them out of what you send, and it fits well alongside your office's own policies and training.

What happens when the free trial ends?

Subscribe for $5 a month to keep hiding details automatically. If you don't, Coverword still spots private details and warns you before you send, but it won't replace them.
